Testbed Inventory    

 

The purpose of this inventory is to discover the testbeds for mobile learning and e-learning at the G1:1 Sites, so that we can look to share expertise, enable compatibility, seek external funding and equipment, and offer consultancy and evaluation services. For your convenience to update your testbeds, registration is required when you contribute to this inventory. To keep this inventory up-to-date and related to the interests of G1:1, we reserve the right to modify or delete records that contain false or unrelated information. Users are welcome to browse all the testbeds without registering as members.

EduCart, National Central University, Taiwan
1:1 digital classroom environment solution of K12 education

EduClick, National Central University, Taiwan
EduClick was the first version of our Digital Classroom Environment series. It comprises of a set of response pads as student devices, a PC as teacher's device, a TV set or a video projector as classroom shared display, and adapts a one-way, multiple-to-one infrared wireless technology communication system. The EduClick response pad can emit infrared signal to the receiver with an effective range of approximately 15 meters.

PDA Equipped Classrooms, The University of Tokushima, Japan
Currently there are two collaborative classroom at the University, both equipped with PDAs, tablet PCs, wireless access points, web cameras and projectors.

AT&T Classroom, Kent State University
The AT&T Classroom is a ubiquitous technology environment where k-12 teachers and their students attend school 1/2 a day every day for six week periods. Research Center for Education Technology researchers investigate how technology impacts the way teachers teach and students learn; both within and outside of the classroom. The Classroom includes an attached four station observation room with AMX pads to control audio and video.
